Watch Case Wrench?

I need to replace the battery in my watch. It's one of those divers watches with the screw on back. I've tried lightly securing it in a bench vise and tapping one of the "indents" with a chisel and hammer. No harm done, but it didn't move. Tried needle nose pliers on the theory that engaging 2 lugs at once would be better. Didn't work either. (I'm assuming that I need to go counter-clockwise to remove). I know they make some wrenches specifically designed to remove screw on watch backs. Anyone have one, or use one, or have any other ideas?
Thanks!

One way to Mickey Mouse it is to superglue a piece of wood to the back, then remove it with acetone (nail polish remover). Don't get any acetone on a plastic crystal....

Or you could take it to a jeweler and pay him to replace the battery.

Using a chisel and a hammer is NOT good for your watch. Ever.

I've already used those little rubber mats that you use in the kitchen to give you a better grip for removing screw on lids, they work sometimes at least.

I bought a case wrench set made in India on Ebay a few years ago. It cost about $8 and comes with all kinds of tips. It has been a pretty good purchase.

Mine came with a wooden box

Not worth the headache.

My local watch dealer will replace a battery for $15 and guarantee the battery for one year.

You can get a adj. watch wrench at Harbor Freight as well as other watch repair tools in a kit.

Needle nose work, but you run a very high risk of scratching the case. They sell a sticky rubber ball, which I have never used, but might work, called a Swiss Ball. One guy made a Swiss Ball out of duct tape made into a ball sticky side out, which might work. They are not usually ungodly tight, just slightly tighter than you think they will be.
