Watch for under $100?

The only one im looking at is the Seiko Military SNX427K2. Any other small plain faced ones for that price cap?

I´m wearing a similar Seiko 5 right now, it´s nice. I have also found some Citizen eco drive models for under $100, good, precise and battery recharges from light, here´s an example found by a google search:

i had that watch. it's badass, and i think it'll serve you quite nicely.

one note, from the pic in the thread, it looks like only the indices are lumed. the model i had was a seiko 5 (had a little 5 under the seiko namebrand) and the actual numbers were lumed on the dial. it was hella bright, and i strongly suggest you towards that model instead.

You can often get St. Moritz watches for under $100. Some of them have a similar "field watch" design.

Which of the Seiko models have the 5 under them without the dial (that rotates)on the outside? Ill check out the St. Moritz and Citizen watches but im 90% sure im gonna end up with that Military (5 series if i can find it).

OK, let me clarify. What website can I look at (and possibly purchase) the 5 series? At chronograph.com, I did a search for Seiko, Military, and Automatic and 7 watches come up but only 3 have a 5 under "Seiko".

The 5 series has been around since forever. Just hit up Seiko 5 on ebay and you'll get LOTS of matches. Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just bought a Seiko 809K on eBay for under $60 shipped. Whats a nice band for jeans/tshirt wear?

the kevlar band (if it comes with it) is pretty nice, IMO.

otherwise, a standard NATO 18mm strap is a favorite among most. you can find them on ebay as well as mkiiwatches.com and westcoastime.com.

i can't think of a better value of a watch than the seiko 5 military. to be quite honest, i prefer it over my (current) O/W MP2 and Hamilton khaki (both 100+). it would still be on my wrist if it weren't for it's untimely death (my fault) several months ago.
