STEVENSON, Wash. -- The Skamania County Sheriff's Office resumed the search Tuesday morning for a 19-year-old camper who was last seen Sunday afternoon northeast of Yacolt, Wash.
Maureen Kelly, of Vancouver, was reported missing from Canyon Creek Campground shortly after midnight Monday, when she failed to return from a "spiritual quest."
Kelly was reportedly naked and had set out on the quest at about 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. She had little in the way of supplies, only what would fit in a fanny pack.
Several search and rescue crew were looking for Kelly Monday afternoon. Search dogs tracked her scent into Canyon Creek and back out, but other than that searchers found no sign of her.
The search continued Tuesday. Crews were traversing the area on four wheel drive and ATV vehicles. The Sheriff's Office said they would decide Tuesday night if the search would continue Wednesday.
