Watch Pocket Carry

I have started to carry my knife in the small pocket of my jeans. I put a 7 inch paracord lanyard on the knife then tuck the lanyard under my belt. I added the lanyard as a safety measure so I would not loose the knife. I soon discovered a couple benefits of the lanyard. It is a stealth way to carry a knife as apposed to a clip. Plus the lanyard makes extracting the knife a simple quick process. This started because I had ordered from Ebay a Spiderco Delica with a nylon clip attached. This type of clip is called a "Clipit" a early style from Spyderco. When I received the knife to my surprise the previous owner had hacksawed off the clip. So this "Clipit" knife was really a clip less knife. At first I was mad, but after thinking for awhile I came up with the idea of adding a lanyard. Soon after I started carrying the knife in the watch pocket. Which is now my preferred way to carry a knife. This knife was to replace a Spiderco Delica Clipit knife I carried for years but lost one day in a movie theater. I assume the clip caught on the seat and fell out of my pocket. So far carrying a few different knifes with a lanyard in the watch pocket has worked out well with no lost knifes. This gives new life to some of my early knife purchase's like my Swiss Army knifes and a nice Case knife.

I carry with standard clip in the watch pocket for the past few years. It makes getting regular items out of your pocket so much easier and it doesn’t catch on so many things either.

I carry a Cold Steel tuff lite in Levi's 501 watch pocket every day. Use it for boxes paper and the such. That way you don't use and dull the one in your back pocket. Mine being a Cold Steel XXL . It works great. I tried the mini but for big hands it was too mini.

I carry a Spyderco Techno 2 in my watch pocket. It’s a lot of knife for a small space and makes for a great EDC

Yea know what... That sounds like a great idea, I'm going to have to try that. I've got a few knives that I just hate the clip on. Well, I hate all clips, but most I can handle. I like that idea with the quick release lanyard,
