i noticed that there were often nice watch threads in this section so i figured id pop the question here before going to the store. i have a steel Bulova that my parents gave me a few years ago. i was super stoked to get it because it was the only thing i asked for ( a nice watch). but though they did an awesome job on selection style wise for me, it has a blue faceplate/ background. so happens blue is my least liked color.

so my question is: is there any way to change the background to a new color? if so how much might it cost? is it a better idea just to buy another 200+ dollar watch i will wear more? i know bulova is nice but is a brand worth sweating over?

just kinda lookin for any comments and relevant information. heck, even basic watch info/ vocabulary. thanks -CB

You could try to find a new dial in the color you want, but I'd say that's a longshot.

The second option is to have the dial refinished. You could contact Jack at IWW to find out what that would run.

Honestly, I'd say you're better off buying something you like more and saving the Bulova for special occasions.
