I have an older Swiss Army watch that I’m told needs a new movement at $125. Do these kind of repairs last? Or do they need to be done frequently? Or are they really worth it? Thanks for any advice.

A new movement is not a repair. I the watch a pezioquarz? If so it's the module that needs replacing.

I am not sure if the watch is a pezioquarz or not. Think I will just look for a new watch. It is more money I want to put in it. Thanks.

That sounds like too much. I had a new movement put into a Citizen eco-drive for less than that. Putting in a new movement is like having a new watch, but if you can buy a new watch for similar price then that might be a better option.
Maybe check around to see if you can get it repaired for less.

The real question is, what is the value of the watch? If it's anything under $200 it's not really worth putting a new movement in it at $125 unless it holds real sentimental value to you.

I just spent $30 on a new band for a $120 Timex, and I cringed at that, but will gladly spend 3x that just to have my good Tissot cleaned.
