After more careful looking,

It appears there is no Anti Reflective coating on the Sapphire watch face (if it even is sapphire), the rear face (window into the automatic weight and movement) shows signs of scratching on the inside in a radial pattern around the rim but 1-3mm in from it. Overall I'm more and more distraught.

A couple of months ago I went swimming in the ocean with my Hamilton Kahki Automatic (my one and only fancy dress watch, now I own a Citizen $100 watch for less fancy wear since the waiting) anyways it had a leaky seal somewhere that was damaged before I ever touched it. It went into the place I bought it (Tourneau Watch Gear) they determined it was a leaking seal, they mentioned at the crown, it was sent in to their repair facility, cleaned up refinished and rebuilt, then leak tested and sent back. It sat in the store for a week before I called in to acquire about the status, and I found out I could pick it up, so I did.

Looked good in the store lighting, but when I got it home I noticed it had some white gunk on the face near the crown, and the pictures told me more once I snapped them today. This is my $450 dress watch, I would expect a better quality of repair.

I have a friend recommending I raise hell with them and request a replacement watch, I did pay around $75 for a warranty that covers wear tear and pretty much everything. The salesman at the time said that basically I was pretty much in the clear for whatever happened.

I also noticed a white ring of I'm guessing sealant around the glass window that wasn't there in the original factory finish, it shows up in the picture.

Recommendations on what course of action would be acceptable appreciated.
I'm not happy.

There are also a few spots that look like the edge of the face was damaged by being bent up.

They included sheats showing that everything had been checked off...
And the water resistance tested to 3.025 Bar, which is not nearly half of the 10 Bar / 100M it is rated to.

Bring it back to the store and show the repair people the issue. They should have a loupe. Have them compare it to a new Hamilton Khaki. Also, if they can't test it to 100m, they should use an outside source for pressure testing. 200m testing is hard to find but 100m is common. It's not like the store can't afford the testing machine.

I'm with Grouch. Start at the Store, take all your paperwork! The Loup is a great idea, I would ask to look through it also.

Knowing that you spent "extra" to get a Bumper to Bumper Warranty I think they would work hard to get it fixed. But I would certainly explain to them what you expect - Proper Pressure test, Clear Crystal, New Face, etc. Also, keep all your pictures for reference.

Good Luck.

Tourneau is actually a huge company, they own the stores that sell Citizen upto Rolex and that other huge Swiss Company I can't think of the name.

The watch was sent out for about 6 weeks to their repair facility.

Another forum and another member recommended I request a replacement watch, obviously the store gets the watches at a fraction of what I paid.

It's a classy place; no need to go in there expecting or looking for a fight.

I suggest that you phone their customer service, describe (briefly but in sufficient detail) what happened, and leave it up to them how to handle the situation.
If the solution they suggest is not satisfactory to you, let them know how you would like it resolved. (A new watch, perhaps.)

I can sympathise with you on this. I had the braclet of a TAG watch all but ruined by an incompetent watch shop worker.
My girlfrind had her Rolex serviced and that looked like they had been dancing on back with golf shoes on when it came back too

That was two different shops on different sides of the world and both were not really up for doing anthing about it untill letters to managers turned up.:thumbdn:
