Watch your dust with your air compressor

Been out of a compressor since right before the Blade show. The motor was running, but no air was getting into the tank. After taking it apart, I could tell why -- the cylinder was in bad shape. Not sure if blaster dust is the culprit, but everything on and around the motor had a light dusting on it; as did the little filter and intake tube.

Just a friendly reminder -- watch your dust (and buy a better air compressor than mine :D)

One way around that is to vent your filters to the outside. Black iron then into pvc to outside with the filters covered from the weather. Compressor is not near as loud and always has fresh air.

It is -- I don't think I'll be going that route again. I got this one fixed and hope it lasts a year or more so I can get a nice one to put in a new shop that I'll hopefully have by then (with plenty of 220V! :D)
