Watches- my new addiction?

I'm hoping not, but I just obtained a nice watch and as I wait for it to come in I'm already regretting it as it may be fuel for yet another addiction! I traded a Surefire E2E CJ (camo) to a guy for a used Luminox 3101 (the Navy Seal one). I'm hoping my patients will see "Navy Seals" on my watch and be impressed! LOL! Anyway, wish me luck!

While we're on the subject, if I want to replace the band on this watch with a Rhino strap, what size would I need? Also, I have relatively small wrists. Will a Rhino strap still work for me? That gray one looks cool.

Chiro,
The easiest way to know the size (unless someone here knows off the top of their head) would be to just stop by a jewelry store when you're out and ask them to measure it. As to the Rhino looking good on a small wrist, I don't see why it wouldn't look good. I like Rhino straps because as long as they fit the style of the watch they pretty much disappear when they're on the wrist.

Sincerely,
Anthony

Hi Chiro75-

Congratulations on your new toy. As a certified watch nut, you're going to love the hobby. Might as well throw away your wallet or purse now!

A true friend to BladeForums is a person named Howard Marx at WestCoasTime who is an absolute guru when it comes to replacement straps. He has everything you could imagine and even warehouse pictures of watches with the straps you are considering purchasing. You won't be disappointed working with this fine gentleman.

If you wish to research watches further, just visit TimeZone when you're not playing around with knives! They are upgrading the server right now, so you'll notice improved performance from their site. Enjoy.

The 22mm Rhino strap works for my 6.5" wrist, with 3 holes (about 3/4") left to spare.

Uh oh..............i think i just started getting addicted to watches also :D

Bought 3 in the last month: a casio and 2 seiko's..........maybe we should start a Gear Anonymous chapter for ourselves!

i already have about $1000 in knives and now about the same in watches

throw in about $250 in flashlights also.

HELPPPPPPPPPP :D

Bill, you've just gone over the edge of the long slippery slope, wait until you're about halfway down it and realize the money you've got invested! A little over six years ago I had maybe a dozen knives worth about $600 and figured that would do me for anything I ever needed, now when I get up, I blindly grab 3 or 4 knives to wear for the day and end up carrying a couple thousand dollars worth of knives. Just a little over a year ago I was wearing a Timex Explorer and was thoroughly satisfied, now when I get up, I've got to chose from Omega's, Oris's and just traded for a Sinn. AND then there's flashlights...

Abandon all hope if you become a watch addict. I got hooked a couple of years ago and spend most of my free time on ebay looking for bargains. Just got this one last week.
