Water absorption... Micarta ~ 1%.... G10 = 0% ???

I know micarta absorbs very little water ... roughly 1% by weight.

Does G10 absorb any? Or is it an absolute 0%.

Does g10 absorb water? not really, though it does adsorb water . .

anyways, for all practical intents and purposes g10 does not absorb any water (0%).

Micarta doesn't even really absorb much water since only the exposed surface fibers are able to provide any wicking action. It's resin impregnated so the rest of the fibers are pretty much full of phenolic already.
