water buffalo horn maintenance

I've never had a horn handle before so i don't know what oil is best for water buffalo horn, someone told me to use mineral oil but this isn't common where i live are there any common kitchen oils i can use like coconut oil, vegetable oil or olive oil?

Horn doesn't contain oil naturally.
Use paste wax or neutral paste shoe polish.

will beeswax work ?

Yes, or car wax. Just make sure to remove all the wax from crevices- or you'll get white lines.
