water filter bottles?

goin to halfdome in about two weeks and after my last trip decided to bring some type of filter system.the bottles are perfect but there are alot of them and wanted to know which were some good ones.thanks

Nalgene Bottles fits all Katadyn filters.

Nalgenes also fit the MSR miniworks.... as do the MSR Dromedary bags. I like the dromedary bags. I use a 6qt as a bladder in my pack only filled about half way or so. When you get to camp you can tie it to a tree and filler up. Depending on the lenght of camp I can also take a 10qt and use it as a shower/ extra water. For bottles I carry 1 plastic, maybe 2... the new trend is BPA free nalgeens which I have but for just water only... I picked up a stash from nalgeen for 75% off for the regulars... for $2 and change with free shipping each, it was easy to order a dozen. But I prefure to keep the bulk of my water on my back to help the pack carry well.

If I read your post correctly, you are asking about bottles that have a filter inside, not bottles to use with a filter.

There was a filter evaluation/comparison the military did a couple of years ago and none of the bottle types passed. If you choose to go with one, I would recommend one made by a reputable filter manufacturer, such as Kadadyn.
