Water Generator

If I am going to be in a camp all day, or have a group of people I like to put up a water generator. This gives a low maintenance source of fresh water in the winter. It is really simple. A cloth sack filled with snow hung by a fire with a container to catch the water. Another bonus is the fact that the cloth filters out the sticks and other crud. For me in IA, it also means I don't have to carry much water when I am camping.

This is a leg from a pair of BDU pants. It is hung from a tripod

You can leave the top open so it is easy to add more snow.

I finally got my hands a Millbank bag and really like it...a good addition to the water collection/filtration kit.
