Leaning towards the Expert over the Hemisphere (looking for a rollerball over ballpoint or fountain pen). Wanted to get your thoughts. I know many have mentioned the Carene and Phineas. What Waterman is your favorite?

I have the Phineas Set. I ususally use/carry only the rollerball. It's OK, but I use it only in the office, since I prefer waterproof ink in the field.

It is very smooth, and nice when writing a lot.

very nicely balanced and a great pen.

An alternative might be a Pelikan R200 - great pens and reasonably priced. Also a little lighter weight than the Expert so it's easier to write with all day long.

I prefer the Carene. As for the water proof ink, The Pilot G-2 pen refills fit all Waterman Rollerball pens perfectly.
