i'm looking to get a new backpack to switch out of my messenger bags (i have a timbuk2 and chrome, both heavily used).
i'm interested in getting real backpack. messenger bags are nice... but sometimes i like my pack to ride tight to my body, and i'd like to be using both shoulders (the single strap design of messenger bags gets to be a pain).
the one reason why i switched to using messenger bags is that they are very waterproof. my chrome and timbuk2 always keeps things dry. even once, a bottle spilled inside my timbuk2--the bag kept all the water in and i never knew the difference until my commute home, resulting in a fried ipod and a semesters worth of wet notes.
anyhow. can anyone recommend a good, large (<~2000cu. in.) backpack that's waterproof? i saw chrome's backpack line, but am not too impressed.
i'm interested in tadgear's fast pack

but don't see anything about waterproofing.
ideas?
thanks.
