Hi all. I'm in the market for a Waterproof and Shockproof Box. I need something to put my keys, phone, wallet, etc in while boating and other outdoor activities. I'm not quite sure what size I want yet, but that's something I can figure out later. Right now I'm just trying to see what kind of products of this type are out there. So far I've looked at Otter and Pelican boxes. I think that right now, waterproof is more of a priority than something that's shockproof. From what I read on the websites, I think that Otter Boxes are more waterproof than the Pelican Boxes? The Pelican website warned not to go swimming with one anyway. As always, I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks for the help.

I have two pelican 1030 boxes that have been submerged, beaten, dropped, and abused. They continue to work great. A good friend of mine has a couple of otter boxes that he can say the same about. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

If it makes your decision any harder, I'm fairly sure that Surefire uses those Hardigg Storm Cases as the case of choice for their large HID lights like the Beast 2 and the Hellfighter. (Hellfire)

I have a Storm case and I have been pretty impressed with it. It was definitely worth saving the money over the pelican case.

I have several Pelican boxes and at least one Otter box. Both are high quality. Of the two type I probably like the Pelican best but I don't think you would be disappointed in either choice.
