Right into your hand. Purple Heart or Dunce Cap? In this case, I'm thinking Dunce Cap.

I was taking some pics of a big Rat that I'm selling when it was time to slip it back into the factory sheath. I stupidly cupped the cardboard in my hand and started to push the blade into the "sheath." It met some resistance so I gave a good, hard shove. The RM sliced right thru the cardboard and into my hand. :eek:

The slice runs all the way across the palm with most of the depth (1/3") being into the meat of the hand. Bled like a stuck pig (rat, dog, whatever!)

Anyway, I definitely earned my Dunce Cap today. :rolleyes:

The culprit?? I think it was mad about the recent spate of Pork purchasing...

Not going to do much for holding your paddle........

I have a lot of my Wauseon products in the combat tactical cardboard. Need to give the sheath makers some business.....

Maybe it's just the RM getting prematurely homesick and biting while he has a chance:D
 
Leftandblack - I've read that very thread and have a WWII khuk. I am *usually* very careful with it and all blades. I just got tired and sloppy.

I know what you're thinking KAAK and... I'm right handed. :D
 
Only the price you have to pay to the blade after purchase. You know, once they get a taste for human flesh... ;)

Yeah, I would hate to have to catch anything. Might split the hand open again. Or even riding a motorcycle for that matter, having to shift. Ouch.

You don't usually catch anything with your hand... Use a glove. Baseballs hurt with just the bare hand. :D
