Wet, you mean one like this?
Yeah, that Basic 5 has seen a bit of use on the range (using the spine to bang down the ears on cheap rifle mags that start double-feeding rounds), working in the yard, and pulling kitchen duty. For as much as it got used, it should look a whole lot worse.
The current kitchen war-horse is the Howling Rat, which I gave to my wife with instructions to "use it as hard as you like, just don't put it in the dishwasher." She's not very hesitant to use a knife on bone or frozen items. She's not inclined to sharpen it or clean gunk off of it right away either. So I figure she'll be a pretty good person to check it for edge retention and corrosion. So far, she seems to like the knife okay, it takes only light patina, and I can undo any damage she's inflicted so far with a few swipes on the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Note in the pic that it still looks pretty pristine, which is wholly undeserved.
Just got the INFIcoot and haven't yet decided whether it'll get a pair of OkuPants to wear or not. Overall, I really like it. It has a handy size blade for a smaller knife, nice big choil, one of those Res-C handles I like so much, subdued neutral colors

, and the usual Busse/Rat warranty.
