Wave= bottleopener?

Will the wave on Spyderco's waved Endura open bottle caps? Does anyone have any experience trying this? Do I like knives and beer too much?

I think that if you want to use the knife as a bottle opener, you should do it with the knife closed!

I have used mine a couple of times just to see if it would work. It did, but I think that there are better choices for oppening bottles.

I think the steel on the E4W is harder than the bottle caps. So far, no marks on mine from a couple dozen openings.

Both the waved Endura and Delica will work fine as a bottle opener, no worry harming the blades, it's the spine not the edge so no damage there, yes I would do it with the thing closed. Yeah a bottle opener is better but it's handy to be able to find another use for a knife, and if ever asked by a cop what the hell is this hook thing for I can truthfully say it can be used as a bottle opener!:jerkit:
