Wave Feature Mini CQC-7B Help

Out of the box you almost HAVE to use the wave feature to get this knife open. It's really hard to thumb it open one-handed. Will oil or lube help loosen it up a bit? How/where exactly do I apply it and what kind?

Any help appreciated.

lube it with a good lube (ie militec or tuffglide for example) and working it open/closed some will usually loosen it up, or ya might have to loosen the pivot also.
