I just started carrying my new wave horizontly. Its a tite fit with the stock leather sheath and a 1 inch belt, but I do like carrying it this way better.

I used to carry it that way, as the top of the leather sheath jabbed me in the side, but it would sometimes unsnap without me knowing (It would catch on something) and the Wave would fall out. Dependiong on what I was doing, I'd either hear it and pick it up with a few new scratches, or wouldn't hear it and walk away. Luckily, I always had someone point out to me the fact that I had dropped my tool. I didn;t want to lose it, so I got me a nylon pouch from Leatherman and not carry it vertically.

Yeah, pretty much my experience with a Core, although I must admit horizontal was a comfortable way to carry. A vertical nylon pouch isn't bad, though.

I might try again with a horizontal pouch that opens from the top, but so far haven't found one I like.

Does the leatherman nylon wave pouch allow for horizontal carry? And when vertical does it ride lower on the belt making it more comfortable? The problem with the stock leaather sheath is, the loop is to low making the sheath ride above the belt line.

Yes, the nylon pouch does ride horizontally, and yes it does ride lower when vertical. I also hate the way the leather one pokes me in the side when I carry it. The nylon one rocks.

I wear my Charge TTi in the nylon sheath, in the horizontal postition. I can barely feel it.

I converted the original bianchi nylon holster to horizontal carry years ago. Still looks great and is my EDC.
