I have an older wave without the locks. There's money left in the tool budget at work and the boss is offering new tools. I suggested a new wave, and he looked at the TI and is thinking of going with that. What do you guys think? does anyone have both? How does the TI compare to the wave in fit/finish and feel/utility?Go for the TI or save money and get the wave?

For me, the Ti is finished better and feels nicer in the hand. As I use the knife blade a fair bit, I prefer the 154cm blade of the Ti over the Waves 420HC.

If you can still get the Ti, go for it, it's now a retired tool, but one of the best that LM made, and if you don't like it,I'll trade you a new wave for it !!!

Wave is $40 cheaper so i would go with that. Besides you can sharpen it. I would not want to try to sharpen a TI.

Sharpening the charge Ti is no problem , grip ergos are nicer than the wave , go for it .
