How do you prefer to draw your waved knife? I like a forward draw since I'm wasting no motion, from the pocket into the target. I really wish Emerson would drill left and right tip up clip holes.

as a right hander i prefer to draw edge facing to the rear. ive tried both ways with a

a Spyderco w/emerson (hook)...drawing righthanded.

I do wish emerson would `mount the clip lower....they could (move the laynard hole).

I too would like more pocket clip holes. Even though it may be slower I draw my knife to the rear. I find it opens more reliably.

I like to wave the kerambits "forward" but the rest of them work better out to the side or back IMO.
When I have been training in knife use I have always been taught to use the thumb or wrist flick to open
the knife. The wave does work the best on the kerambits but it is not 100% on any of the knives, and we
all know the "fail percentage" will probably raise it's head when you need it the least

In playing with my CQC-8 im finding wave doesnt always open it or sometimes when it does i wont go all the way to the lock up, but its 100% reliable when your sitting on a leather couch, take my word for it...but if i were like a LEO i would train to flick it open with a wrist or thumb disk cause its like you said Haze...

anyone ever use the rapid deployment sheath? looks like that could go either way

I haven't used one of EKIs deploy sheaths but I have made a few of my own.
I have never had one of my sheaths fail to wave the knife open so I am more
than sure the Emerson deply sheaths are the same.

i like left hand pocket deploying with a right handed pocket clip emerson commander for quick reverse grip action
