Hey everyone,
First, lemme start by saying I think the Folding Hissatsu is great. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on making a wave modification for this knife. The thumstud is basically a vertical oval and, when removed, leaves no room for the ziptie method. I was thinking of some sort of hook or clip that could attach to the thumbstud and yet stick out enough to catch on my pocket. Any advice is appreciated!

I see two ways to accomplish this:
1. email our own STR - he has done something similar to a different knive; or
2. Take a look at the way the wave is done on Spyderco's P'kal - you should be able to do something similar since the top of the blade is alreay drilled.
3. Or just get the assisted opening model - they are great too.

How is the thumb disc secured? If it is a screw you could fashion a piece that would be bolted on and have the wave on it. If not you may need to contact a custom maker.
