I'm interested in getting the waved Delica, but was wondering how well the wave from Spyderco actually works? Also curious, does either the Delica or Endura make a decent EDC for general pocket knife purposes? I'm primarily interested in the Delica as it is large enough for most of my needs. Thanks.

I would like to hear the answer to this as well. Though I am leaning toward the Endura. I just wish the would make a FFG waved Endura.

my waved delica works fine, as far as i know? i have to pull it backwards more than up to get it to deploy fully, but it's my only waved knife. so maybe that is how the wave is supposed to work?

size i find it a bit on the small side, but i like bigger folders. it's large and sturdy enough for most "normal" edc cutting tasks. design is pretty good, easy to grip and use. frn was a bit sharp on mine on the edges, but i just rounded them out a bit. no issues i can think of.

I have the regular non waved ffg Delica. My friend has the waved version and I've handled it a bit and i like it a lot. The wave feature is sort of a self defense tool for quick deployment straight out of the pocket. The only thing is, is that I don't consider the Delica to be a strong choice for self defense for one reason, blade size. The endurance fits that role much better and would be my choice out of the two for the wave function.

This is why I purchased the ffg Delica, it's a perfect knife for EDC.

I carry a waved Delica every day. It works great! It is the best pocket knife I have ever owned by far. I also carry an Endura every once in awhile but in my opinion it is a little too big for EDC but I mainly use my pocket knife for opening boxes.

The wave works very well once you get used to it, which doesn't take very long. You just pull the knife back and a little bit down as you take it out of your pocket to get the wave to catch properly. Whether you choose the Delica or Endura depends on your personal preferences. The Delica is fine for almost all tasks, but if I am going to be preparing food I will use the Endura because the extra blade length comes in handy for slicing onions and potatoes.

Even if they did, they wouldn't be able to start the grind very high.

I had a waved endura, and was very underwhelmed.

I'd say get a full size endura and ziptie-wave it

I have both the waved Endura and Delica. The wave is extremely functional and both knives are great for edc. Both are fairly light weight in relation to their size thanks to the drilled out liners. It would be difficult for me to choose a favorite. But I'm leaning towards the Delica.

This was my thoughts exactly. I couldn't really live with a non-FFG endura, so I bought the one I wanted and put a zap-strap around the thumb-hole. Not pretty, but works perfectly.

I do the same thing, zip tie the spydie hole and bam you got a working wave and you can remove it if you don't like it.

The Wave on the Endura and Delica works very well. I don't carry the Endura as much as my normal Emersons mostly because of preference. I like the thicker handle on the normal Emersons and the G10 scales.

The wave is larger than my emerson but I rarely have them fail to deploy. If you like the saber grind spyderco its fun. Opens bottles too. They cannot keep up with the ffg or hollow ground.

It works well because it is the Emerson Wave opening system used with emerson's permission. Its a great light weight EDC
