Waved Tip Down

Just wondering if tip down knives can be waved. I thought they couldn't because of the positioning but then i saw a video of someone with a waved skirmish. He must have moved the pocket clip because I thought this wasn't possible.

No a Waved knife won't work very well upside down...

To clarify, the only way for something to wave open is if it is tip up. If the knife is tip down only, it must be modified for tip up carry.
