Hey, y'all!

I was wondering what all of the different options are for waving a spydie, as I just got my first pm2.

Can you give some personal advice? Are there better methods than the ziptie method? An relevant first hand experience?

Thanks!

Nope zip tie is the best way, you'll need to use 2 decent sized ones if you want it to be reliable, one tie will slide around after a while and wont catch your pocket.
Unless you want to have a go at making something permanent and potentially ruin your knife ?

I have a good sized zip tie on my spydi and I love it,fast to deploy.. Make a quick cut and put back in the pocket quick and easy

I must admit, when I first saw the zip-tie trick I thought it was weird. I saw this thread today and decided to give it a try. I have a new unused Orange Endura4 that I wasn't liking too much because of the bigger blade compared to my first Spydie, a Brown Delica4. With the zip-tie on the Endura it snaps open EVERY TIME, better than my Cold Steel Ti-Lite Ti. This little trick saved my Endura from getting traded off.

I'm partial to kydex. Not permanent, and you get a hook, since a ziptie mod can slip if you don't apply constant pressure to your pocket.

If you know how to use a dremel and feel confident in your abilities you can cut a wave hook into the blade. Gavko did a video about it on youtube.

I am taking orders.
