Waving out of a sheath

This isn't a very important post, but I wanted to share some of my glee.

I have an Emerson Super CQC7. I love it.

It waves out of my jeans and one pair of my cargo pants very well. But I just found out today that it doesn't wave out very well of a certain pair of cargo pants I have. The pockets are not well suited to waving the knife.

Bummer.

So today I put the knife in a belt sheath instead of in my pocket. If I am not going to be able to wave the knife out of the pocket, I'd rather have it in a belt sheath and not worry about it getting linty in my pocket.

But I am home for lunch and just pull the knife out to play with it. SNAP!

It waves out of the sheath very well. I just pull it straight out and it opens every time. It possibly even easier than waving it from my jeans pocket.

I am excited because it means that if I am ever wearing a pair of pants that does not work well with waving, I can just use a sheath and still wave the knife.

Anyone else found this to be true with their sheaths?

Edit: After playing with it some more, the knife would sometimes get caught in the sheath and would not draw smoothly. So I started drawing it from the pocket again and found that I could wave it consistantly my modifying my technique a little bit versus my other pairs of pants. I have to draw it back and down a little more and not as straight up.

ive been trying to figure out how one would construct a waveable kydex sheath . would make the larger ekis a little easier to deploy and carry i think.

There were a few differfent kydex sheaths made that had a piece of paracord through them that the wave would catch on and open the knife.
