Fantastic looking Butch !!!
I am building a set for my wife and we were talking about a similar type handle. I am a newby maker (5 under my belt).
I think I understand on how to make the similar cuts (youtube) but what type of material do you use as the spacing (black wave)?
Here is a picture of the one I am working on. Any suggestions will be accepted.
I posted a new thread in Shop Talk but no replies. (trying to make sure I don't repost in another section):

used a mix of tint and ebony wood as colorant for my epoxy then taped off 3 sides and poured it in

Thank you so much for your info. Can black liquid shoe polish be used as a tint or using a black dye (clothes/leather) work better ?
Went thru many of your knives and very impressed with your craftsmanship. I saw on one of your pix that the edge was mic at .01
I also notice that you use alot of XHP for your blades. What thickness do you usually start with? and what are your other choices of SS
do you like to work with?

This is the look that I am trying to achieve !!! I see NO bolster lines. Was this a one piece forge then cut out or
did you soldier/peen to achieve that one piece look?
