Just thought id share my wax experiment with yall .
Made a couple of friction sheaths recently . Made them kinda crude , as i thought
They might end up in the trash . For some reason i thought my wax dipping might fail .
As it happend they turned out pretty sweet !
Nicer than i thought . They have a nice kydex click type retention , and feel great .
Im useing some pretty thin leather , its all i have access to .
I made the sheaths snug but a little on the loose side so there would be room to shrink .
I used beeswax and a double boiler and held them under for about 5 seconds .
Made sure i shook them out so theres no build up inside.
Im gonna use them a lot and see how they compare to other wet formed sheaths ive made .
Its gonna be a hot summer so interested to see if they melt ! Anyways hope you like
