I'm planning on buying the Duluth Pack Pathfinder Roamer pack in olive drab(they offer a waxed model but it's in the natural canvas color). Does anyone have any instructions on how to apply wax to canvas?

Also, does anyone here own this pack? Have you had any problems with it, or no complaints? Thanks.

Is the Pathfinder Roamer the same design as the Roamer? They seem to have the identical dimensions & outside pocket layout.

All of the Pathfinder packs are exactly the same as the Duluth Pack branded items, except instead of a Duluth Pack leather patch, they have a Pathfinder leather patch. The Pathfinder versions are made to order, you may be able to get the Duluth Pack branded items faster. So yes, the Pathfinder Roamer is exectly the same pack as the Duluth Pack Rambler.

The only signature pack is the Pathfinder pack itself.

As ror waxing, maybe try Filson's wax compund that comes in the shoepolish can.

Frost River sells the wax for these packs on their website too. I have some for my pack but have never needed to use it yet.

On a sidenote I really like Frost River's new Isle Royale Bushcraft pack. Obviously based on the Lummio Duluth Pack but with a few mods that I think will make it better.

I ended up buying the Duluth Pathfinder Signature Pack. Still deciding on what wax to use on it...

Have you got the pack yet? I'd love to see a review on it, really thinking about this one myself

Does anyone know if a waxed pack or waxed clothing are prone to catch fire if hit by a spark? I've often wondered.

This is what's sold to re-wax waxed clothing. I think it is paraffin wax that you will need to boil until melted and then apply with soft cloth.

I have also seen it done with Sno Seal, but it does retain a greasy texture.
