Way back before the Izula...

WOW!!!
I have a hard time imagining ESEE (RC) WITHOUT the IZZY!!
And TTD was the ONLY guy interested???:eek:

I go all the way back to the birth of the RTAK. I remember the first time it arrived at SMKW. It was a beast. Still is actually. Moose

Can you even imagine a time when there wasn't an Izula?

i remember when there wasn't a RAT Cutlery.

and i joined here roughly seven years before the thread in your link. i just wasn't here much after trying to resolve an issue with a now defunct company that had a crappy warranty and worse customer service.

ESEE has come a long way in a relatively short period of time, but to be honest it's all because of Rowen Manufacturing. We've since had other companies approach us wanting to build our stuff but we simply refuse to go with anyone else. Rowen and ESEE are two separate companies but we are partners and will remain so simply because Shon, Mike and I have exactly the same philosophy when it comes to the end user, quality and care required to make the best product we can and take care of the folks who trust us with their purchases. We will eventually get the Izula Folder built by Rowen and are making strides towards that and we may possibly get a different folder built by Lion Steel (other than the HEST) because of their attention to quality, but our heart and soul will always be with Rowen and USA manufacturing. It's the same reason we are now sewing some soft goods in the USA (coming real soon).

Seems the community has come a long way as well. Ever notice in how many of those old threads it's TTD asking a question about something, Jeff answering and TTD saying thanks. You can't even ask what flavor of fart is your favorite without getting 25 replies and someone asking when the Izula folder will be out. :D

Shon and I discussed this a couple of days ago. I know we are running behind on this, and Rowen and ESEE share equal blame on being behind due to other projects and a whole host of other issues that seems to pop up unexpectedly. I can ASSURE everyone though that we will get it done and it will be made by Rowen. Not sure when, but it is going to happen. Tom send us new files this week so we are slowly advancing.

Any estimated price range yet?

I was looking at Jeff's post in 2007 and noticed that his post count is same as it is today. I then looked at the last page and found a 2004 post by Jeff and the post count was the same as it is today.

Anyone have a clue to why this is. Just curious.

The post count is updated to reflect current status, just as avatars and memberships are:thumbup: It is information regarding the postER, as opposed to information about that post specifically.

Thanks for the update on that Jeff... I actually thought the Izula folder project somehow died with all the interest in the HEST folder.
