I have not been here long, I am not a paying member, and this is a private entity so I recognize my opinion is almost, if not completely worthless... but (obviously you knew that was coming)....

Isn't the amount of subforums a bit overwhelming, sometimes confusing, and occasionally redundant?

Great site though, just throwing it out there with my first (run on) sentence in mind.

Not at all... Although most of us ended up on BF's for the knives, a lot of people have varied interests.

I think it is great having a wide variety of subforums. By breaking the subforums down into more specific topics, it is actually easier to target your areas of interest, and not have to wade through a lot of stuff, that isn't of any interest to you.

I think most members narrow down the subforums they frequent, the longer they have been around.

Spark is actually careful about adding forums, and responds to requests for new forums by investigating the real need and probable interest.
The long list is easier to understand when you break it down into major areas, some of which will be of less personal importance than others.

Examples? It all makes perfect sense to me. Well, except for the fact that "General Knife Discussion" is under "Knife Specific Discussion." :D

GREETINGS AND A BELATED WELCOME TO BF:)

As you spend more time here you will soon realize the wisdom of the various forums. For example I spend most of my time on the traditional, Busse, CRK and Custom forums. I am not so interested in camping, prac tac etc....... I can log on and quickly see all the threads that interest me and interact with my friends.

If you are enjoying BF consider the $20 to support the site and have access without ads. It will truly enhance your experience and you will be supporting a fantastic international community. This ship sails with so much knowledge, information and wonderful folks aboard.

Have fun and enjoy.............

Steven
