I have a Sprint Run Wayne Goddard Spydie with White Micarta. My question is the model # on the box. All my research speaks of a "new" model listed as C18PSWH which I've never seen. The one I own has C18WMPS on the box. EH is also on the box.
My only assumption could be that the C18WMPS model is from the original Sprint run back in the 80's and the C18PSWH is a newer version?

I'm gonna throw this out to the experts here and get the answer.

Thanks in advance everyone. I can't wait to read the responses and clear this up.

The Goddard Jr. was only offered in white micarta once, and that was the Sprint Run back in 2008. Spyderco's online catalog, which only lists the "generic" product code for all their knives, labels the white micarta Goddard Jr. Sprint as C18WM. Edge designator codes are traditionally added to the end of the product code to form the SKU, and PS is the code for part serrated, hence your box label of C18WMPS. The EH on your box is a date code, indicating your knife was packaged in May of 2008. Some dealers use their own "product codes" but, assuming they're a legitimate dealer, any white micarta Goddard you purchase from the would have C18WMPS on the box. Mine, like yours, is labeled C18WMPS and has an EH date code. Given that the white micarta Goddard Jr. was a Sprint run, most will probably have that same date code, or one within a month of it (DH or FH).

I knew there would be an expert out there. Thank You Deacon!
