Ways to loosen a sheath?

I just picked up a villager CAK from a DOTD a few days ago and just received it. Gorgeous blade for sure. However, the khuk sticks at its belly when I sheath or draw it. Any suggestions on how to open the sheath up a little in order to facilitate a more seamless action without losing its retention?

Have you tried applying a little leather lotion to the interior of the sheathe, and making sure the blade is slightly lubricated?

personally I like it to stick just a tad, so that I know it wont come loose easy-- are you using a kami medical fund sheath? if so I like to just move it one button down, that makes it loose enough to draw but not so loose it falls out-- the tighter button holds it like a fist and does not let it move.---buuuut you are talking about an actual sheath, and i am a foooool

preventing friction each others and damage the buffalo leather I apply Grison Creme inside the sheath and lubricated Mcnett Silicone on the blade. satin blade finish still have sharp edge in CAK series you should be awareness of this!
From time to time they will fit together,

You can peel the leather up and lightly sand the wood until it is loose to your liking then to retain it glue a piece of leather or wood in the middle section. I believe they are designed to retain the blade by the sides of the knife rather than the spine and edge. Here is a thread I started to show how I do it. Some don't bother with the added trouble of peeling the leather back and just glue a piece right on top as is but that just depends on cosmetic preference and how comfortable you are working with something like this.

I have 2 CAKs, the first one has a beautiful and sound action with no sticking whatsoever (and great retention). It has a smooth action that is seamless without me having to make any adjustments with how I'm using/pulling.

The current one I have runs into two potential issues:
- the tip will dig in to the top of the sheath
- the belly will stick in the narrowed bottom of the sheath

I can get the blade into the sheath with one action if I pay close attention to the angle of entry, but it's still not pretty. I have no such issue with the other CAK + sheath, that one's action is like butter.

I'll try the suggestions posted and have a look at the stickied post that I somehow missed in the first place. If y'all have more insights, I'd love to hear em. Thanks all!

The leather will stretch over time- if you (bloody carefully!) work it in and out, and then leave it overnight at the "stuck point" (if you know what I mean) it'll loosen it.
