True story! About three days ago, I noticed that the liner on my new 2000 Commander had started to disengage from the blade tang, the same problem that I had with my Mini CQC7B which ultimately led to it's early retirement. Anyway, normally, I use a teflon gun oil to lube all of my knives, but this morning, I decided on a whim to use WD40. Not only did it make the Commander smoother, it fixed the lock problem. All I can figure is that some of the teflon oil got onto the tang of the blade and made it so slippery that the liner wouldn't engage properly. So now that the WD40 dissolved it, the lock is perfect. I applied it the Mini about 5 min ago, perfect lock up. What luck!!!!!!!!
