WD5 mods?

This ol' fart is *very* anxious to get the WD5 in hand & on the kitchen duty roster. However, I ain't too sure about that full belly curve (I & WD5 have something in common 😉) leaving enough point for penetrating some of the fruitier & veggier ingredients. So I drew up a few possible modifications of shallower & deeper clip points to get to the point. Shallower clips remind me of old timey butcher knives. Deep long clips remind me of some Spyderco profile shapes, especially the one where the thumb ramp was removed. Please excuse roughness of drawings, I did them on my phone with my pudgy finger as the stylus.

I'm going to do something close to your number 3 but not clipped, drop point. Think like an ash2 or ash1. I'll mess with it once I get it in hand.

Third one looks best but you should try it out first. I’ve got a WS-1020 and the tip is plenty pointy…

Agree that #3 looks best. I will be keeping mine as it comes. (Thanks) But I understand your thinking.
