we all have a knife story to tell.....

I was 5 years old when my grandfather gave me his two bladed small bone handle pocket knife. when I turned ten I took a trip to flordia and I had the knife in my suitcase and yes the airline lost my luggage. I was devestated. so he took me and bought me a small tinker swiss army. when I was 12 I had worked enought to buy myself a buck 112 with a locking blade wow. and it was the first knife I had bought with my own earned money. that was my knife until I was 21 then I wanted something smaller and lighter. working and having to wear dress pants I bought a small bob terzoulia ats 34 with a spyderco thumb hole. I am now 30 years old and my turzolia is well got lots of wrinkles (scratches and the tip is well not a tip anymore. so I went looking for a new knife. I looked for almost 5 months when I learned that chris reeve knives were the best. no matter who I talked to it all came back to chris reeve. I bought the small plain sebenza about a week ago and a few days ago I bought a small canadian maple leaf graphic and a sheath from Gary Graley (chiseledge@yahoo.com) which is in the mail as we speek. yippieee.. anyway its been a long time since I had a knife which I and the rest of us consider to be perfect. my hats off to chris and his wife and their crew their doing a awsome job. although my grandfather has past on I think he would have liked the sebenzas to.

You are a patient fellow, but I have some bad news for you, this buying thing.....it is very tough to stop, perhaps you will be strong and avoid the pitfalls but if not you certainly have a good start! Two small Sebenzas, nice beginings.

My knife story is this:

Up until a few years ago, I always looked on folders as 'gimick knives' (I was not a knife nut then, so indulge me). Then I met this guy who attended my Uni class in London where I was studying and he had a Sebenza. Curiousity got the better of me and he very generously allowed me to try it.

Boy, was that an eye-opener! It cut, locked, opened, and balanced like a dream. Since then I've had several folders, though none worked as good as the Sebenza. After reading all the posts and drooling over the pics, I was convinced I could no longer live without one

I ordered a plain small from NW cutlery yesterday. Now comes the waiting part....
