I jsut noticed that Spark started this Tradititional forum for us a little over 5 years ago.

This sub forum is a haven for me due to our cast of characters.

Thanks to all of you and Spark for this place.

Happy Birthday to all who participate here. :D

I can remember when we didn't have it. Not sure what I read on BF back then. I always come here first and couldn't agree with Gus more on the people who post here.

A great place to hang out enriched by the presence of the best moderator in the business. (And I speak from a position of knowing of what I speak.)

I believe wood is the traditional gift for the 5 year anniversary. In our case that would be some nicely figured ironwood burl, snakewood, or perhaps African blackwood.
I recall at the time there was some talk about if there would be enough traffic for a separate forum for traditional knives. There was.:D
(kudos to Mr. Gus)

Wow, time sure does fly.
Of course at my age there's really only four days in a year, Christmas, not Christmas, 4th of July, not the 4th of July, that's it.

This is a great forum. My thanks to you folks who got this boat to float. Newbs like me can learn a lot here.

Happy Birthday! :)

Thanks to all for providing this forum and keeping it interesting. I have only been a member for 5 months, but feel like part of the family when I'm in here. Love those Jackknife Tales and keep coming back to ogle all those old slippies.

I've always liked traditional folders, they probably make up 70% of my accumulation so with that in mind this is one of my favorite places to stop along with BRLs forum.

Anyone who really enjoys this forum and the traditional pocket knives should also check out Knife World magazine, it is without a doubt the best knife magazine on the market when it comes to slipjoint and even some of the customs and even an occasional tactical knife.

As a birthday gift for 5 years of friendship and information if anyone wants to check out Knife World just click on the link and you can get a free 3 month trial subscription, did I mention it was free?

Happy Birthday Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades Forum.

Oddly enough, I have in my pocket today my customized CV Wharncliff Copperhead, and it has amboyna burl scales...

Thanks for this place! It's great. I gave up on most of the other sub-forums years ago (as well as most other forums), but find this place to be like no other on the 'net. What a team! :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY everybody. This is a great forum. Thanks for letting me read along.

I agree this is a great group to be a part of. Thanks to all the guys, I have learned many things from the wiser bunch.

Thanks,
John

When I come in each day I check my email (not much, but then I don't write much either) and then come here. I've gotten to the point that I rarely venture outside this sub forum. This one is a nice, relaxing place filled with good folks.

Happy Birthday!

That's funny, I do the same thing. I check my MySpace for messages or comments, and then come here. I rarely venture out of here myself. This is like home to me, you know? I value your opinions over those in other forums, and it's like you are all my friends, where as in other forums I don't know who's who. Thanx for opening this place up for us. Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday everyone. I echo the feelings of the rest of you. Best spot on the web. I look forward to another 5 and hopefully more!

I'm glad I found this place. There's a great bunch of folks here. Happy Birthday to this forum.

Ahhh happy B day to us. I have only been here since 2005..... but have felt welcome since day one!

Great place to have out:cool:

I feel the same way!

In a strange way, this place seems like an electronic version of old man Jenkins General store back in Cambridge, or even the Middletown Diner that we (me and some of my other retired friends) meet at for breakfast for a good long B.S. sesion. Good friends that you can speak your mind and share yur thoughts with.

Happy birthday all!:D

This is my favorite of all the forums, and my life would be poorer if I didn't spend time here.

What am I saying? My life is poorer!! Due to what I learned on this forum my cah balance has gone down the tubes. Oh well, I have all of these excellent slipjoints to keep me company.:D

Happy anniversary, y'all.

WOW! Has it really been that long? A big thanks to those who kept after Spark to get this sub forum going. And yeah we have the best Mod of them all.
