My dogs seek deep shelter when the heavy snows come.
They howl to show there distaste for the wind.

In deference to them:

I won't post, another picture of snow

Turning to foam, whipped by the wind

Dogs seeking shelter, driven below

Their howls voicing protest, they sing

Give me a meadow with butterflies to chase

A field mouse to pester; would be nice

I, for one am ready for springs

warm sunny days and sleepy nights

Wishing you all a lovely spring, Fred

I'll love to see that time come. When I can have my big door open to the shop, to smell the clean air blowing through the shop. To see the flowers starting to grow. And to see all the kids ride by the home as free as the wind. Thanks for the words of hope Fred, you made my day.

I'm one of those guys that just hates to sweat, and in Iowa we sweat profusely for half the year. So generally, I prefer winter.

But crimeny, winter has gone on far too long this year! We've had snow on the ground since before Thanksgiving, and even I am getting tired of it.

I think all the snow will be gone today though - 56 degrees!

Great poem Fred, thanks!

Me and my dog are tired of the snow too, especially the fresh stuff, it's supposed to be Spring already, how on that?

So I can read your verse and close my eyes and I'm there, it's enough for now. Thanks
