This photo was just cleared by the Israeli military censor. We were asked to post it by some who knew him. They are silent members of the Busse Combat forum and lurk here quite often. His facial features have been obscured for obvious reasons.

The Israeli Naval Commandos are Israel's equivalent of our Navy SEALs. Here's a bit about them: "Within the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) Navy exists an elite unit of commandos known as the Bat Men. Their official name is Shayetet 13, or Flotilla 13, and they are responsible for the IDF Navy's Special Warfare capabilities. Flotilla 13 can trace it's roots back to the birth of the Israeli nation, and in their service they have managed to carve an international reputation as one of the best, if not most experienced, naval special warfare units in the world."

This commando is pictured with his team's favorite blade, the Busse Satin Jack, and a suppressed UZI only days prior to a mission against Hamas on the West Bank where he was Killed In Action.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to another brave warrior who gave all in the war against terrorism.

Freedom comes at a very high cost and should never be given away.

courageous men to carry the fight to the enemy.

I appreciate and love my freedoms, but I am sad to hear of the high
price to maintain it...

May he rest in peace, may his family find comfort and may his team mates find strength in his sacrifice. The Isreali's have seen things that would make the average American shudder. I hope we never see suicide/homicide bombers on these shores, but if we do I pray that we handle it with the bravery and resolve that these folks do.
