Last Friday, Jennifer and I lost one of our closest and dearest friends, Jerry Snyder, when he unexpectedly passed away. “Snyde” worked in our shop and was with us from 1983 – until 1997 when he was forced to retire due to a severe degenerative bone disease.

If I could, I would tell you all about him. There is far too much to say. He always had a smile and never complained, whined, or bitched about anything. He was racked with pain for many years and certainly had plenty that he could’ve complained about, but never did. All who knew him are mourning his loss.

He was an amazing husband and father to his wife and his four children.

Busse Combat will be closed tomorrow, Friday August 15th, in order to celebrate his life.

This is one of my favorite pics of "Snyde" from the 1995 SOF Convention in Las Vegas.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Tough as it is, though, you know that where he is now, he's not in any pain at all.

The loss of a friend is always difficult. The loss of one as close as a family member is more so and you, Jennifer, and Jerry's family are in our prayers.

I stand on the dock as a ship sets sail and heads to sea.
As she disappears over the horizon someone at my side says,
"She is gone."
Gone where??
The loss of sight is in me not in her.
At the same time that we say "She is gone," others on the other side are saying
"Here she comes."

And that is dying.

A good man is never forgotten. His legacy lives on through those who know him.

Condolences to his family and coworkers who will miss him.

How often do we entertain angels unawares and how often do we miss our opportunities to be angels to others around us? Sounds like Mr Snyder didn't miss many... May his memory always warm you.

This week I have thought about several people who have worked for my Mom and then moved into the Employee Emeritus Club. Now, she has joined them. I certainly understand your position, best wishes to all.
