You're telling me that some manufacturer skulks around the forums to see what the customers like and dislike, and want to buy, and then actually goes and makes what the customers want with the intention of selling it to them and making them happy?

I can't help but state the obvious, and say they're messing around with a cap lifter, prototype, for use in a future Camp knife. Maybe not I dunno, but I'd certainly think they'd do a superb job on the pattern.
 
You know, I was just talking to my friend the other day about GEC picks and old-school "multi-tools". I was telling him about how my father had a key chain screwdriver on his keyring the whole time I was growing up. I carry it on mine now.

Don't ever use it since I have my "real" multi on my hip, but I love it nevertheless. I hope GEC makes it in something that'll patina. ;)

Missed this thread, and started another one! Sorry, didn't mean to steal the show. I will morph mine into something else - it is malleable after all!
 
For you patina freaks, I am 85% sure it is stainless, but we'll find out for certain, soon.
The hole must be for a keychain or lanyard - not sure how long it is yet though.
I ordered a large economy sized box of them, so we should know everything pretty soon!

With that many on the way, I now propose the hole as a means of affixing them to your jacket for the Rendezvous. "Tinker's Mail," as t'were.

Right, their picks are 420 SS right? Probably the same here. Do they need a hole like that when they put acrylic covers on them? It's kind of in a weird place for a lanyard.

Edit- after looking at them again, I'm not sure that there is a better place for a lanyard and the hole would be out of place for covers. Hmm...

Anyway, they are neat-o!
 
I don't open enough bottles lately to try to pocket carry or keychain this, but one for around the house might be in order. With my next knife purchase. I need to get on that I suppose. Just waiting with the hopes/suspicions that GEC will release a Easy Open #15 spear/pen. I think that might be my grail knife. I said that about the 85 SFO on that thread the other day and I realize I jumped the gun, that's not my grail knife, it's just similar enough to my true grail, the 15 easy open that I jumped the gun:D

Sorry to derail, I just dropped a hint about this grail knife in another thread for the spies, couldn't resist spreading the hint to another thread. Or maybe I should just make a separate thread about my dream/grail knife...maybe...

ANyways, yes, bottle opener. Lovely:)
