It's a titanium framelock with a sweet Damasteel pattern for the blade, it's a pretty normal price compared to their other Damasteel framelocks isn't it?

That Civivi has WE's in-house damascus made of 9cr18 and 10cr15, it's a great decorative user steel, but it's not the same as anything Damasteel or Chad Nichols or their counterparts offer.

And a titanium WE, outside of their rare entry level models, will start at about $200 using the less expensive and more available S35VN or M390.

I'm not going to say its overpriced. I will say it's very expensive and puts it up against competition that mostly will oversell it.

I dont know anyone who has one. Even at WMK with the coupon it's still in stock.

I thought about it, but didn't end up buying it because I see no reason for it to be that expensive. 350, maybe, that's if I get to pick blue handles with it lol.

Would love to see someone who bought it give some thoughts on it.

I don't know. Maybe it is extra pretty? This one isn't for me. Once the price tag gets that high, it's competing in another ballpark and I can't afford a ticket.

The way I see it, regular D2 models are reasonably priced at around $50. The BladeHQ exclusives in S35VN are a great deal at around $80. There are some fun $80-100 Damascus versions and their 9Cr/10Cr blend should offer decent edge retention for something that mostly exists for the looks. Beyond that, I cap out with the regular titanium frame-locks being "luxury purchases".

Damasteel is super expensive. Spyderco's upcoming Damasteel (and g10) UKPK is $400/$280 MSRP/MAP. This is a deal compared to that.

It's a luxury purchase, no doubt, but I wouldn't say it's fair to call it overpriced.

I'll say it's over priced and I love we.
By comparison the reate tribute with ch mokuti bolsters and clip with fat carbon scales , damasteel blade sold for 474. So much more for the price. Even the base elementum seems a little pricey for how basic it is.
