Got one of these for free a long while back when buying a knife, can confirm its extremely loud. And fairly tough too, its been on my keychain for maybe 6 months now and its held up

I would carry one, I have a plastic whistle that I always have on me, as you never know when a situation presents itself and a whistle can get someone's attention at a farther distance than trying to yell...
