Congrats to Smebbin!!! His pick of 211 was the closest to the number drawn, which was 208.
A very big THANK YOU to all who participated and those who participate to make this sub-forum as great as it is. And thank you also to Esav Benyamin for conducting the draw.
Smebbin, shoot me a PM or e-mail me at litterbox1@gmail.com so I can get this knife into your hot little hands.
Recently, I have been lucky enough to be the recipient of some very generous folks here at BFC. I won a Schrade 98OT as well as a Case Pruner with yellow delrin. I also got to partake in a passaround involving a Kerry Hampton knife, and currently have the exclusive use of a GEC Toothpick for a year, at the end of which the knife will be passed along to someone else for a year of carry and use. Of course, I have also received countless pieces of advice and information regarding one of my favorite topicsknives. That said, its high time I give back a little something to the community from which I have received so much.
For the occasion, I am giving away a brand new Case Sway Back Jack in chestnut bone and with CV steel. I picked it up just for this occasion and it has been fondled for about 30 seconds, but that is mostly because I do not yet own one of these myself!
That said, I think the winner is going to be mighty happy when they get this.
There are a few rules that I would like in play for this:
1. You must be at least 18 years old and this knife must be legal to own where you live.
2. You must have at least 10 posts in this sub-forumTraditional Folders and Fixed Blades--as of the time of the first post in this thread. Sorry, but no playing catch-up to participate.
3. If you meet requirements 1 & 2, then just pick a number from 1 to 1000 and post that number.
4. If you have sponsored your own giveaway here on BFC in any sub-forum since January 1, 2009, you may choose two numbers from 1 to 1000.
If two people choose the same number, the person who chose the number first will have that number. If two people are tied for the win insofar as they are the same distance away from the winning number, a second random number will be immediately generated to determine the winner as between the two people who are tied.
The random number(s) will be determined using www.random.org. This contest and thread will be open until 12 noon Mountain Standard Time on Saturday, February 3, 2012. The winner will be chosen as soon as possible thereafter and the results reported here in this thread.
Good luck everyone, and thanks again for everything! Let the contest begin!
