Buck-Fan is the winner with his guess of 367 hours. He was the closest without going over.
Thanks to everyone for the entries. Unfortunately most of you guessed high on how many hours I put on the motor so far. The average boat owner puts about 50 hours on their motor each year. I get to go fishing about 60-70 times per year, so I'm usually right around 100 hours annually. Keep in mind that the contest was to guess the number of hours on the motor's meter not the number of hours I spent fishing. Last year(12/5/2007) in the annual review of my boat on an internet boating forum, I posted my hours at 326. Here's a link to the review http://www.thehulltruth.com/forums/...9882&start=1&highlight=review&highlightmode=1
In my effort to combat high gas prices this year, I did a lot of drift fishing with the motor off and lots of inshore fishing. The fish didn't seem to mind.
Since last December I only managed to put 72 hours on the motor for a GRAND TOTAL OF 398 HOURS.
That makes Buck-Fan the winner with his guess of 367 hours.
E-mail me your address Bill and I'll get the knife in the mail as soon as I get the sanding done and the holiday rush is over.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!
..........and "tight lines" to those that love fishing!
