We have a WINNER in the TROTBBITL contest!!!!!

Congrats to Don't Drop It for putting all of the pieces together!!!!

TROTBBITL = "The Rise of the Baddest Blade In the Land"
A lightened version of the Fusion Battle Mistress.
I am shocked that this was solved at all, let alone so quickly! The TITANIUM Dining Set and the night LIGHT were the clues pointing at the "Rise" of the lightened version but dang that was fast!!!

We have one runner-up prize as well for Father and Son Traditional Sharpening. You have won a non-transferable $50.00 Shop Credit good toward the purchase of this new, lighter version of the Fusion Battle Mistress! Congrats!!!!

Please contact Becky at becky@bussecombat.com and she will take care of you my friends!!!

Congrats once again!

Let's Drink!

Congrats! I can barely wait for this one. Is it thinner or does it have the LB treatment? Or both?

congrats.

I hadn't thought the stated prizes were part of the clues.

Imagine that. A light brigade FBM.

OR IS IT ''FBMLB''?

cant wait to find out

Fingers crossed for a nmfbmlb. I don't have a mistress yet and want something huge and ridiculous so I've been looking for a nuked forsaken mistress but this would fill that spot perfectly me thinks

I’m hoping it’s both. I like a fast blade over a heavy blade. I have a CGFBM BGFBM and a couple of user ASHBMs. So I really would love to have a new BM model that’s lighter, faster, but just as tall and beautiful. I also wonder what grip they’re using this time. The Fusion’s overall profile is not bad, especially on CS models. But I find the aggressive milling on the Micarta and G-10 scales made the swells and divots too aggressive to be comfortable for me. That’s why the CS handles are more comfortable - the swells are FAR less pronounced. I hope this is a design change the Busse gang can accommodate.

Edited: Sorry, typo in my cgfbm, should’ve been bgfbm, as in BATTLE grade, in coated SR-101, not INFI.

Smooth them out with sandpaper. For me it made them much more comfortable.

I don’t mean the texturing… but I wish they didn’t mill the scales out as much. I’m talking about the spaces between the rivets. (The non-milled portions are the palm swells).

If I were to sand/file down the palm swells significantly, that’d take off a lot of materials and make the grip too narrow. If I wrapped the depressions with tape to fill it up, then the top and bottom of the handle profile would bulge/change and be less comfortable.

I see what you mean. This is why I'm a fan of magnum scales. You can sand them down, but like you say you can't fill small scales back up again.
