Wow... I've heard only good things about Mr. Bartoli. My condolences to his family for their loss.

I was very saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I have had a few dealings with Bob and enjoyed his love of knives and his humerous wit! Got to travel with Bob from NJ to the NY knife show a year or so ago... he had me laughing out loud the entire trip! He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

Bob was a first class knife man. I only delt with him via e-mails and sales but he always went the extra mile for satasfaction and friendliness. He's the kind of man one can ONLY think or say good of and that's the truth.
May the Lord keep and welcome Robert into his reward, and also comfort and console all his loving family and friends in their hour of sorrow.
He will be missed.

Peace.

I don't want to get into details as I don't have all of the facts myself. Just know that he is no longer with us. :(

Very sad, this is the first I have heard of his death. I had some dealings with Bob and he truly was a great guy.

Sure going to miss him......

How old was he??

My family and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Bob's family. It wasn't too long ago that he and I corresponded via email. This comes as quite a shock.

Sorry for everyones loss. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him or doing business with him, but he sounded like a great guy. A true loss for all who knew him.

I just found out that I did know him in a way, as Bart-1 on Jerzee Devil. I appreciated his suggestions, and laughed at his jokes. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob last November at the NY Custom Knife Show.

We had a few drinks at the bar, well it was actually a couple of bars and several drinks. We all hit it off from the get go, Bob was a really easy guy to have fun with. He had quick wit, a sharp mind and a smile that came easily to him.

Although I almost exclusively collect Daltons, I managed to acquire a couple of knives from Bob, his prices were the best I could find anywhere and his customer service was legendary. Later I learned how generous he really was. Bob always supported any benefit and made sure that he contributed to all good causes.

We had one little forum skirmish over gun control, he hammered me pretty hard and was a formidable adversary, but it was never personal and that speaks volumes.

All to often it seems that good people are taken from us before their time. I will miss Robert Bartoli, and I don’t even want to think for a moment how much he will be missed by his family and closest friends.

I pray that you have found the peace you sought, rest well my friend...Al

OMG!! I can not believe that he died!! That IS heartbreaking. I can not believe he died!! This is horribly sad!!! My prayers are with his family and friends!!

I am very sorry to hear this. Bob is a great guy, one of my favorite business people, and an asset to our community.
My sympathy to his family. His abscence will be felt for a long time.
Well done Bob!
