We need a lock FAQ! Intergral/Frame, Twist, Plunge, Compression, Rolling, etc?

There are FAQs on steel and geometry... I think we need one for locks. They seem to be taken for granted that everyone knows what they are and I think a comparision would between them would be useful. Personally, I'd like to know about the following locks:

Intergral/Frame
Twist
Plunge
Compression
Rolling/Arc (specifically, how are they different from Axis?)

This would be a good idea.

Though the execution and tolerances of the lock are often far more important than the type of lock.

It would be very good, if some explicit mechanical drawings were included.
 
I will take a crack at this, but with a new baby, it will be some months before I have the time to actually sit down and do it. If anyone takes a crack before then, I'd be happy to give opinions of the rough drafts, if you'd like.
